Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Author breakthrough research papers for top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Secure federal and private funding for cutting-edge quantum initiatives
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on space-exploration quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in Python/C++ with quantum computing libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven track record of securing R&D grants ($500k+)
- Experience with low-temperature experimental setups (mK range)
