Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in drug discovery
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at QIP and IEEE conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for quantum supremacy initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop patents for proprietary quantum machine learning architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# with 100+ hours of quantum circuit simulation
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
