Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST research grants
- Develop IP portfolios for quantum-resistant cryptography systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum machine learning applications
- Demonstrated success securing government research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
