As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist, you'll drive innovation in quantum error correction, qubit stabilization, and hybrid quantum-classical systems. Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and qubit coherence
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum error correction techniques
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
