Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Identify and commercialize applications in drug discovery, climate modeling, and financial modeling
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or experimental quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction, fault-tolerant computing, or quantum machine learning
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces preferred
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding and patents
