Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum error correction research to achieve fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop next-generation qubit architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure research grants and partnerships with quantum hardware providers
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing integration into commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years quantum research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (Nature/Science/IEEE journals)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants ($1M+)
- Experience mentoring PhD-level researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints and scalability challenges
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
