Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival during night hours and manage check-in procedures efficiently.
- Answer incoming phone lines professionally, redirecting calls to appropriate departments or voicemail.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure reception area and common spaces.
- Monitor building security, including access logs and door management, ensuring a safe environment.
- Assist with light administrative tasks such as faxing, filing, and data entry.
- Communicate effectively with on-call medical staff regarding patient needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role is preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer software and office equipment (e.g., EMR systems).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
