Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, triage emergencies, and route communications appropriately
- Greet patients/visitors with professionalism, verify insurance, and complete intake paperwork
- Maintain accurate patient records and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
- Coordinate with nursing staff and departments for seamless patient flow
- Oversee facility security protocols during overnight hours
- Perform light administrative duties including filing and appointment scheduling
- Address patient inquiries with empathy and resolve concerns promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or front desk role
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
- Exceptional multitasking abilities and calm demeanor under pressure
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating schedule
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation
