Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations including greeting guests, answering multi-line phones, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the practice management software (Epic or equivalent).
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying insurance information and collecting copayments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Handle incoming mail, faxes, and emails with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing patient charts.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow is optimized throughout the day.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or previous experience in a medical or corporate setting preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional receptionist or administrative support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with practice management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Bilingual (Spanish) is a significant plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical billing and insurance procedures is highly desirable.
