Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, market disruptors, and macroeconomic shifts through 2030
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks incorporating AI, biotech, and quantum computing trajectories
- Lead scenario planning workshops with executive teams to prepare for alternative future states
- Produce high-impact trend reports and white papers synthesifying complex data into actionable insights
- Partner with R&D to integrate future-proofing principles into product development lifecycles
- Build and cultivate an external network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Present strategic foresight findings to stakeholders using compelling data visualization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurism roles
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills for translating complex futures into narratives
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous strategic challenges
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented future-oriented strategies
