Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AI convergence domains
- Develop 3-5 year innovation roadmaps aligned with market disruption vectors
- Partner with C-suite to translate foresight into strategic investment decisions
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs with MIT, Stanford, and ETH Zurich
- Present future scenarios to investors, regulators, and Fortune 100 partners
- Build proprietary forecasting models using predictive analytics and scenario planning
- Mentor junior futurists and publish whitepapers in Nature Futures journal
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field with 12+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (2+ IPOs or acquisitions)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, neuro-interfaces, climate tech
- Executive-level communication skills with ability to influence C-suite and boards
- Published author in peer-reviewed innovation or technology forecasting journals
- Experience managing $10M+ innovation budgets and cross-continental R&D teams
- Active membership in World Future Society or Association of Professional Futurists
