Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligning with emerging tech trends (quantum, AGI, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for Fortune 500 partners
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis using proprietary AI-driven foresight platforms
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite executives and venture capital stakeholders
- Drive R&D initiatives in our Austin Innovation Lab with $20M annual budget
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal innovation culture
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, R&D, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Expertise in scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Deep technical knowledge in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/PhD preferred)
- Portfolio of published foresight work or patented innovations
