What You'll Do
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex 2D animations and interactive visualizations using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, WebGL, and modern CSS.
- Optimize rendering performance to ensure 60fps animations across a variety of devices and browsers.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-fidelity, responsive code.
- Maintain and expand our internal library of 2D animation components and utility functions.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices for performance and accessibility.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex rendering issues in legacy and new codebases.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a focus on 2D graphics and animation.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (SCSS/Sass).
- Strong understanding of the Canvas API, SVG manipulation, and animation libraries (GSAP, Anime.js, D3.js).
- Experience with WebGL or 2D physics engines (Matter.js, Planck.js) is a significant plus.
- Deep knowledge of performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, asset optimization, requestAnimationFrame).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
