Responsibilities
- Design and develop quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Implement quantum software using high-level quantum programming languages such as Q# or Quipper
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to ensure software compatibility and performance optimization
- Write and maintain documentation for quantum software and algorithms
- Stay current with the latest research in quantum computing and contribute to the open-source quantum software community
- Debug and troubleshoot quantum software issues, including those related to quantum decoherence and error correction
- Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field; PhD preferred
- Strong background in software development with proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java)
- Familiarity with quantum computing concepts such as qubits, quantum gates, and quantum circuits
- Experience with quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Knowledge of quantum algorithms (e.g., Shor's algorithm, Grover's algorithm, VQE)
- Experience with software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
