Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography, materials science, and AI optimization
- Design and execute quantum experiments on superconducting qubit platforms with 99.9% fidelity
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals with 3+ annual publications
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum error correction techniques
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through DOE/NASA/NSF grants
- Develop patentable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years postdoc experience
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum decoherence mitigation
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Familiarity with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Experience with tensor network simulations for 1000+ qubit systems
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction codes
