Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Develop error-correction protocols for stable quantum systems
- Lead research on topological qubit architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical interfaces
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and build quantum computing curriculum
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
