Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using trapped-ion systems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for next-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures for breakthrough innovations
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Present findings at premier conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing systems or superconducting qubits
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, PennyLane) and Python/C++
- Demonstrated experience solving NP-hard problems using quantum heuristics
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Security clearance eligibility (for government-funded projects)
