Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI specialists to hybridize classical-quantum computing workflows
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure patents for novel quantum-resistant encryption methods
- Advise government agencies on quantum security frameworks for 2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with IBM Q or Rigetti systems
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware maintenance protocols
- Strong background in topological quantum computing models
- Ability to secure DOE/NIST quantum research grants preferred
