Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum architectures and error correction methodologies
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with next-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence, entanglement, and measurement theory
- Proven track record of translating quantum algorithms into practical implementations
- Experience securing NSF/DOE grants or industry research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
