Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026 commercial viability
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on quantum processor optimization
- Lead cross-functional research teams for quantum-AI hybrid solutions
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NIST research grants by 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC)
- Clearance for classified DoE projects preferred
- Track record of translating research to prototype systems
