Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure NSF/EU quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meetings
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science/PRX)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++ and high-performance computing
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
- US citizenship or active DoD clearance preferred
