Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected quantum circuits
- Lead research teams in exploring quantum machine learning applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks for industry partners
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $5M+
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and error correction techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Published record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Experience mentoring researchers and leading cross-functional teams
