Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DoE, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ) or superconducting systems
