Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with hardware teams to reduce quantum error rates below 0.1%
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for quantum innovations
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Translate theoretical models into practical implementations using quantum simulators
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles at graduate level
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical applications
