Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Develop novel quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and complexity theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (> $500K)
