Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware team to optimize quantum gate operations
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with AI and materials science teams
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
