Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation strategies to enhance quantum computational fidelity
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical engineering solutions
