Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
