Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit coherence and computational fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and test quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure intellectual property through patent applications for novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation within the quantum ecosystem
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction, fault tolerance, and qubit decoherence
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing or physics journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave) and quantum simulators
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Ability to secure research funding through government grants and private partnerships
