Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and machine learning
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on next-generation processors
- Lead research initiatives targeting quantum advantage in materials discovery and optimization problems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at top-tier conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through weekly hackathons and design sprints
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC environments
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/peer-reviewed)
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex quantum concepts to diverse stakeholders
