Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead prototyping of next-generation quantum processors with <20-qubit error correction
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop superconducting and photonic quantum systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum machine learning applications
- Present breakthrough findings at international quantum computing symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonics
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Ability to secure $1M+ in research funding through NSF/DoE grants
