Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in next-gen quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Lead research initiatives in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant systems
- Publish groundbreaking findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our patent portfolio
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Familiarity with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum simulators
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage complex projects
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and passion for quantum innovation
