Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols enabling fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-gen quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF funding for quantum initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record of securing government grants for quantum research
- Experience with superconducting and trapped-ion quantum systems
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing approaches
