Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional research projects targeting quantum supremacy milestones
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum cloud computing interfaces for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure NSF/NIH grants
- Contribute to quantum cybersecurity frameworks for post-quantum era
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and variational methods
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra and group theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
