Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Optimize quantum circuit performance using error correction techniques
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to calibrate and maintain quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in leading quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Secure research grants from DARPA and NSF for quantum initiatives
- Present findings at global quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex quantum challenges
