Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop scalable qubit architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world problem-solving
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through government and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum simulation tools (Qiskit Aqua, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF or DOE research grants
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
