Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols in cryogenic environments
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure $5M+ in DOE/NIST grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/ACM/IEEE)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Experience with dilution refrigerators and quantum measurement systems
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with engineering teams
- US citizenship required for government research clearance
