Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical architectures
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, error correction, or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quipper)
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation or photon-based systems
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
