Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical and experimental advances
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum programming experience (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum information theory and quantum complexity classes
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
