Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system architecture
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processor interfaces and control systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals on quantum computing
- Proficiency with low-level quantum hardware control and cryogenic systems
- Experience securing DoE or NSF grants for quantum research
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
