Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using our 1000+ qubit processors
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Quantum and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Track record of securing quantum computing research funding
