Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond 2026 industry standards
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computational workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (e.g., Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Ability to secure external funding through NSF/DOE grants
