Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead experiments on superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and secure federal research grants
- Participate in quantum security standardization committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware or photonics systems
