Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing solutions
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise quantum computing interns
- Secure competitive research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms, quantum gates, and circuit optimization
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
