Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for near-term quantum advantage
- Author high-impact publications and patents in top-tier journals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Contribute to quantum error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and topological computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic testbeds
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theories into practical implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
