Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit systems to achieve fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for real-world applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit architectures
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++ and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Ability to secure external funding through competitive grant applications
