Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum architectures for commercial applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure government and private funding for quantum computing research projects
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical discoveries into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, etc.)
- Published research in quantum computing with demonstrated impact
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to secure research funding through grant proposals
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
