Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives for next-generation systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent at least 3 core quantum technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper) and circuit optimization
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (impact factor >10)
- Proficiency in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti) or superconducting qubits
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and NISQ-era applications
