Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature Physics, Science) and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure government grants and industry partnerships (DARPA, NSF, AWS)
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable quantum cryptography solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing libraries
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Knowledge of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, ion trap)
