Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems, including qubit coherence and error correction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into commercial products
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and industry conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical standards for quantum computing protocols
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants to expand research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with experience in high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proven ability to lead complex research projects from conception to publication
